Social Media Management
I make content that’s honest, clever, and easy to enjoy, for clients in music, creative industry, and small business.
From developing authentic brand voices to creating engaging visual content, my experience shows both a deep connection to music and creative culture and the flexibility to adapt across different audiences and styles.
Here is a collection of brands and projects I’ve worked on:
Employer: Studio Y
As Social Media Manager for Studio Y, I curated and created content that showcased the studio’s high-end vision. From directing photoshoots, selecting standout photos, writing copy that appealed to both builders and business owners, I adapted tone and style, combining elegance with approachability to highlight our projects, design insights, and industry trends.

Employer: Videoboutique
As the current Communications Manager for Videoboutique, one of my key responsibilities is managing the company’s social media pages.
This includes selecting standout content to share, creating attention-grabbing visuals, writing engaging copy, and encouraging vendors and suppliers to share our posts.
The tone of voice is friendly yet slightly more formal than that of my music pages, demonstrating my ability to adapt tone and style to suit different clients.

Client: Lisa Fitzpatrick
Lisa Fitzpatrick is a pelvic floor physiotherapist and former business coach.
When she decided to transition out of coaching, I worked with her to identify a new direction that combined her background in physiotherapy with her growing interest in sexual health in midlife.
This led to her rebranding as a Pelvic and Sexual Health Educator and becoming the author of a work-in-progress book, Sexy Menopause, due for release in early 2026.
I also conducted a thorough audit of her social media content, created branded templates, coached her on producing her own video and photography content, and planned and scheduled posts in a content calendar.
We now meet monthly to review Lisa’s progress and plan content for the following month.

Project: FEMINAL MUSIC
FEMINAL MUSIC is a personal project designed to create a living archive of women and gender-diverse musicians in Naarm/Melbourne.
After exploring a different direction, FEMINAL MUSIC is set to relaunch in early October with a renewed focus on building a music showcase and community for femme musicians in Melbourne.
Beginning in early 2026, the project will host music workshops for women over 40, conduct regular interviews with local musicians, and spotlight other music industry creatives including tour managers, venues, record labels, community radio broadcasters, sound recording studios, music photographers, record stores, and more.

Project: Typical Girls Punk Program
The Typical Girls Punk Program, empowers women and gender-diverse musical beginners over 40, to learn to play punk rock, form bands, and perform live.
In just seven weeks, participants form new bands, pick up a new instrument, often starting from scratch, write three original songs, and perform them live.
I took part in Round Two of the program, where I learned to play bass guitar and collaborate on writing three original songs, before performing as part of the Brunswick Music Festival in March of this year.
The program had no social media presence when I joined, so I took the initiative to create and manage its Instagram and Facebook pages. I suggested renaming it from the ‘Merri-Bek Typical Girls Punk Conglomerate’ to the ‘Typical Girls Punk Program’, and came up with the handle @typicalgirls40pluspunk
Participants enjoyed sharing the content as a showcase of their achievements, and the pages now serve as both an archive of their work, and a way to spread the word about future programs.
The pages are currently on hiatus while the program prepares for the launch of Round Three.

Sexton Media is values-led. I celebrate inclusivity and diversity of ability, gender, sexuality and spiritual or religious belief. I also acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we live and work, and pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
